REBECCA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in south Georgia say more than a dozen employees at a plant have been hospitalized after being exposed to chlorine.

Turner County Emergency Management Agency Director Robby Royal tells WALB-TV (https://bit.ly/1gBP1s3 ) a worker at a vegetable processing plant in Rebecca was filling a bucket with water Wednesday and didn’t realize that it was partially filled with chlorine.

Royal says employees began feeling nauseous from the fumes and 15 people were taken to the Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.

Tift Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Joy Davis says all 15 patients have been decontaminated and are in good condition.

Rebecca is about 80 miles south of Macon.
