PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Officials at Brown University have settled on sites for new buildings for its engineering and math schools.

The Corporation of Brown University on Friday approved plans to construct the engineering building Manning Walkway, opposite Prince Engineering Lab.

The new building for applied mathematics will be on George Street, near the existing building which will remain in service.

They school says the math building is needed to house faculty and graduate students who will be displaced from offices that currently located on the engineering school building site.

The university says it has all the money needed for the project after a successful $160 million fundraising campaign.

The school says it is currently in the process of selecting an architect for the project.
