BOSTON (AP) - Reports of a plane ablaze at Boston’s Logan International Airport turned out to be a training exercise for firefighters.

An airport spokesman said the exercise Wednesday morning that created a stir on social media was held in the same place as all fire training exercises.

Matthew Brelis says the airport trains firefighters from airports across the Northeast using a fake aircraft fuselage. He calls them “almost a daily occurrence” between April and October.

Andrew Zimmern of Travel Channel’s “Bizarre Foods America” tweeted “Am I alone seeing a plane on fire on Tarmac at Logan in Boston?” and posted a photo. He later tweeted that such training operations “should be announced in airport.”

Zimmern has more than 700,000 followers on Twitter.
