At least nine in a workers camp in North Dakota were injured when a tornado tore throughout, destroying eight of the trailers at the site.
One of the workers was critically injured, The Associated Press reported.
The twister struck about five miles south of Watford City, in the western portion of the state and 30 miles from the heart of the oil boom in the state, AP said.
The tornado swept across farmland, dumping heavy winds and rains and threatening several other homes and properties, including cars.
Some of the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. It’s not clear how many are still at the facility.
