SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes has again shuffled leadership roles in the state’s top law enforcement office.
Earlier this month, Reyes removed five division chiefs from their posts and a sixth retired.
The office gave little explanation for the shuffle but Reyes spokeswoman Missy Larsen says the attorneys were given a chance to gauge what jobs they might want in the office.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1jX6yKD) Reyes created a new division for market and financial fraud and an appeals department.
Reyes, a Republican, promoted and replaced several other top positions in January, shortly after he took office as a temporary replacement for John Swallow.
Swallow, also a Republican, stepped down late last year amid allegations of wrongdoing during his nearly 11 months on the job.
He has denied wrongdoing.
