SYRACUSE, Utah (AP) - Police have arrested two 19-year-olds and a 17-year-old after one of the teenagers confessed to police that he robbed a restaurant in the northern Utah city of Syracuse last month.

Syracuse Police Officer Erin Behm says 19-year-old Joel Martinez on Friday approached a South Ogden police officer who was in the middle of a traffic stop involving another person.

Martinez told the officer he wanted to confess to a crime.

The officer contacted police in Syracuse, who interviewed Martinez and two other teenagers suspected of participating in the April 15 robbery.

Behm says Martinez and 19-year-old Federico Urquijo were arrested and both were being held in the Davis County Jail on Tuesday on suspicion of robbery.

A 17-year-old girl, whose identity was not released, was being held at a juvenile facility.
