BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The National Weather Service says severe weather, including the possibility of tornadoes, is expected in parts of Vermont through this evening.

A tornado warning for Rutland and Windsor counties was expected to expire at 5 p.m. while an earlier warning for Addison County was already lifted.

Eric Evenson, a meteorologist for the weather service, says the storm has already produced golf-ball sized hail and gusty winds. He says they’ve received several reports of downed trees.
