MENOMONIE, Wis. (AP) - A new chancellor has been named for the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Robert M. Meyer was named the school’s next chancellor Tuesday. Meyer currently is president of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Shell Lake.
The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents approved Meyer’s appointment, which had been recommended by a selection committee. Meyer begins work Aug. 16.
Chancellor Charles Sorenson is retiring Aug. 15 after 26 years at UW-Stout. Meyer will be the seventh chancellor in the school’s history.
