LAKEWOOD, N.J. (AP) - A man operating a bulldozer at a southern New Jersey work site was killed when the vehicle overturned and landed on top of him.

Ocean County prosecutors say the accident occurred around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday on Cross Street in Lakewood.

They say 67-year-old Angel Martinez of Lakewood was attempting to drive the bulldozer onto a trailer when it flipped off a ramp, trapping him under the right side of the vehicle’s roof.

He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

No other injuries were reported.
