COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A judge has set bond at $250,000 for a 26-year-old man accused of threatening a Megabus driver with a pellet gun in an alleged hijacking attempt in central Ohio.

The Columbus Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1pvlWym ) reports 26-year-old Arsenio Rodriguez made his initial appearance in a Columbus courtroom Tuesday and told reporters he has mental-health problems.

The newspaper says a police report read in court indicates Rodriguez told investigators he has schizophrenia but wasn’t taking his medication.

Rodriguez is charged with robbery. A message seeking comment was left for the public defender who said in court that Rodriguez is homeless.

A police spokesman has said an officer responding Monday to reports of a man with a gun saw Rodriguez with the weapon and fired multiple times, injuring Rodriguez and a passenger.
