A judge in the southern section of Iran has issued a summons for Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg over complaints that his applications Instagram and Whatsapp are violations of citizens’ privacies.
The judge also reportedly ordered the two apps to be blocked, Politico reported.
It’s not very likely that Mr. Zuckerberg is on his way to Iran to stand trial for the complaints. Iran and the United States do not have an extradition treaty.
This is the second Iranian court that’s banned Instagram for privacy complaints. Facebook, meanwhile, is already banned in the nation, along with Twitter and YouTube.
