CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say they’re still trying to establish motives behind three Memorial Day shootings on Florida’s Clearwater Beach.

Four men face multiple charges after two people were wounded in the shootings Monday evening.

Police said Tuesday that one shooting appears to be separate from the other two.

Clearwater spokeswoman Joelle Castelli says the shootings arose from fights among groups of people. The first shots were fired from a temporary parking garage near the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa.

At least two people were shot - one in the hand and the other in the groin area. She says the person who was shot in the hand fled the area.

Access to the beach was cut off for a time, but later reopened only to residents.
