PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say the search for a 4-year-old Florida Panhandle boy who fell from his grandfather’s boat is now focused on recovery instead of rescue.

Logan Torrance Fontana fell from his grandfather’s boat Saturday as the vessel accelerated in Pensacola Bay. The boy was not wearing a life jacket.

The search was extended Monday morning into the Gulf of Mexico. By the afternoon, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Lt. Doug Berryman said the search had transitioned from rescue to recovery.

Berryman told the Pensacola News-Journal (https://on.pnj.com/1kihhQn ) that charges would be unlikely in this case.
