A Philadelphia man is fighting for his life after he was impaled by a pole when robbers tossed him into a construction hole in the Ogontz region of the city.

Police are searching for the suspects, MyFoxPhilly.com reported.

Police say three men — maybe more — chased the 38-year-old victim to the construction site at North Broad Street, robbed him and pushed him into the pit. He landed on the rebar and was trapped, impaled through the stomach.

“I seen them grabbing somebody, and it looked like he was knocked out,” one witness to the emergency responder rescue said, to MyFoxPhilly.com

The man was transported to Einstein Hospital.
