DENVER (AP) - Hundreds of people are paying tribute to service members who died serving their country at Fort Logan National Cemetery.

Among those participating in Monday’s Memorial Day ceremony are Gov. John Hickenlooper, U.S. Sen. Mark Udall and a representative of the Veterans Health Administration from Washington, D.C., Dr. Robert L. Jesse.

The ceremony features a rifle salute to fallen veterans.

There are 17 memorials at the cemetery in Denver, most commemorating soldiers who fought 20th century wars.
