HONOLULU (AP) - Hawaii’s Congressional delegation will to honor the state’s military veterans in ceremonies on the islands over the Memorial Day weekend.

U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz will deliver the keynote speech for a Memorial Day observance at the War Memorial Natatorium near Diamondhead on Sunday morning. The Natatorium commemorates more than 10,000 Hawaii veterans who served during World War I.

U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard will deliver keynote remarks Sunday morning at the Memorial Day “Roll Call of Honor” ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.

On Monday, Schatz will join Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell at another Memorial Day Service at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.

Gabbard will honor fallen Maui soldiers at the Makawao Veterans Cemetery Memorial Day Observance on Maui.
