LAS VEGAS (AP) - Officials at the Rio casino are celebrating the grand opening of a zip line that runs between two of the resort’s towers and offers views of the Las Vegas Strip.
Mixed martial arts announcer Bruce Buffer is expected to yell his signature catchphrase, “It’s time!,” at noon on Sunday and then take a ride on the VooDoo Zip Line as part of the ceremony.
The line runs between the VooDoo Steakhouse on the 50th floor of a Rio tower and the 30-story tower next door. Seventy-second rides cost $25 per person during the afternoon and $37 after 5:30 p.m.
It’s the second zip line to open in Las Vegas this spring. The SlotZilla line running through the Fremont Street Experience opened in April.
