CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Heavy rain has caused flash flooding in parts of southern and central Wyoming.
The National Weather Service reported flooding washed out portions of a rural road near Woods Landing in Albany County on Sunday afternoon.
Flash flooding also occurred in central Goshen County, east-central Carbon County and east-central Natrona County.
Late Sunday, the Weather Service says the agency received two separate reports of funnel clouds about 15 miles northwest of Cheyenne.
The Weather Service says heavy rain combined with runoff from melting snow caused the flash flooding.
Flood warnings also are posted for Laramie River in Albany County as well as the Little Snake, Encampment and North Platte rivers in Carbon County until further notice because of the high runoff from melting snow.
