BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - State police say an early morning accident has killed a Baton Rouge man.

The victim in the Sunday morning accident was identified as 44-year-old Jonas E. Heath.

State police said Heath was driving a 2013 Toyota Camry southbound on Louisiana Highway 327 in East Baton Rouge Parish at about 3:30 a.m.

The car ran off the highway at a curve, struck the side of a levee and overturned several times.

Heath died despite the use of his seatbelt. The accident remains under investigation.
