MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Rep. Steve Daines heard concerns from Montana veterans about the health care they receive from the Veterans Affairs.
The Republican met with veterans in Missoula and Helena on Friday.
Veterans told Daines of mismanagement, long wait times and bureaucratic red tape.
Some members of Congress, including Daines, have called on VA Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign amid a national outcry over mistreatment and falsified records at Veterans Affairs hospitals around the country.
Daines said he will continue to press the issue when he heads back to Washington.
