GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say officers in western Michigan shot and killed a dog after it attacked a five-month-old child.
The Grand Rapids Press and WOOD-TV report the infant was bitten on the face Friday night in Grand Rapids. Officers say they shot the dog because they couldn’t catch it safely.
Grand Rapids police say the dog was owned by the family that lived at the home, and the child’s injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening.
