NORWICH, Conn. (AP) - Robby Rinn hit a go-ahead three-run triple in the 12th inning to lead Bryant to its second straight Northeast Conference tournament title with a 6-2 victory over Sacred Heart on Saturday.

Buck McCarthy added an RBI single in the 12th and Trevor Lacosse threw 4 1-3 innings of scoreless relief at Dodd Stadium as Bryant (42-14) earned the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA tournament.

Rinn finished with four RBIs for the Bulldogs, who led 2-0 until the Pioneers (29-28) tied it in the eighth on Jayson Sullivan’s two-run homer.

Lacosse (4-3) allowed two hits, struck out four and walked two for the victory. James Cooksey (5-2) took the loss.

Bryant will find out its first-round opponent and where it will play in the NCAA tournament Monday, when the field of 64 teams is announced.
