MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma Boy Scouts will be placing flags at veterans’ graves in western and central Oklahoma during Memorial Day weekend.

Scouts and members of the American Legion post in Midwest City will begin placing flags at 9 a.m. Saturday at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City. Together, they’ll place flags on more than 2,700 graves of military veterans.

The ceremony will include a representative from the American Legion reading the names of veterans who have died during the past year and the event is to help teach the scouts how to correctly place the flags at the grave markers.
