WINCHESTER, Conn. (AP) - Police in Winchester are investigating the shooting death of an 87-year-old woman and say it may have been an accident.
The woman was found dead in a home on Platt Hill Road on Thursday night. Police say she had been shot once.
Her name hasn’t been released.
Authorities say the shooting was not a random incident, but they declined to release any more details.
State police were called in to help with the investigation.
