SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Savannah officials are asking residents to help compile a listing of the city’s “100 Worst Properties” for public display online.

The anti-blight campaign announced Friday urges citizens to send addresses, descriptions and even photos of derelict buildings, overgrown lots and other eyesores to City Hall. City property inspectors will visit the nominated sites and decide if they make the list - and if any enforcement actions are necessary.

Savannah officials say they plan to post the final list on the city’s website.

According to city officials, Savannah’s property maintenance department handled 13,466 cases involving blight and code violations related to property upkeep last year.
