BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - State police are investigating a fatal accident on Interstate 10 in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Trooper Jared Sandifer says a 2004 Cadillac SRX driven by 45-year-old Armand M. Marchand IV, of Gonzales, ran off the highway into a canal around 12:30 a.m. Friday.
Sandifer says Marchand was taken to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge where he died from injuries suffered in the crash.
He says Marchand was properly restrained at the time of the crash.
