FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A former head athletic trainer at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg faces child pornography charges.

The Frederick News-Post (https://bit.ly/1ttkMWB ) reported Friday that 36-year-old Eric Hansen of Walkersville is charged with 12 counts of possessing child pornography and one count alleging he made a hidden-camera video recording of a 16-year-old girl undressing in a bathroom.

Police say Hansen told investigators he used his work laptop computer to view pornography. He told police he had never looked at child porn before May 2013.

A Mount St. Mary’s spokesman says the school fired Hansen in May 2013 after officials there learned about the investigation.

Spokesman Duffy Ross says Hansen started working at the university in December 2004. He says there’s no indication anyone at the Catholic school was affected.
