SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a 23-year-old Bossier City man has been sentenced for making and selling counterfeit money.
U.S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley says Corey Crosby was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Judge Donald E. Walter to 18 months in prison.
According to evidence presented at his Feb. 21 guilty plea, Crosby was identified as the seller and manufacturer of counterfeit money in the Shreveport/Bossier City area in June 2013.
Authorities say he sold the counterfeit money and uncut sheets of counterfeit money in denominations of $100, $20, and $10. Investigators matched Crosby’s fingerprints to a printer used to make the counterfeit notes.
Crosby was previously convicted on state charges in Caddo Parish for forgery in November 2012.
