President Obama adopted a self-deprecating tone Thursday at a pricey fundraiser in his hometown of Chicago, telling his audience that they all looked great, but that he’s aged — considerably.

During the reception for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee at the mansion of energy tycoon Michael Polsky — which cost between $1,000 and $35,000 to attend — Mr. Obama acknowledged the noticeable change in his visage in recent years.

“I’m looking around and I see a lot of friends,” he said, the Hill reported. “All of you look the same and I look like Morgan Freeman.”

The comparison to the aging, white-haired actor is a step up from one that created a media buzz months ago, which likened Mr. Obama to the Satan character on the History channel hit “The Bible.”

After some accused the show’s producers, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, of purposely creating a bias, they decided to cut the character completely from their follow-up movie, “Son of God,” so as not to detract from the messages of Jesus Christ.
