LISBON, Portugal (AP) - Atletico Madrid forwards Diego Costa and Arda Turan trained normally on Friday, boosting their chances of being able to play in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Costa injured his right thigh muscle against Barcelona last Saturday and had sought treatment in Belgrade from a doctor specializing in using fluid derived from horse placenta to repair damaged cells.

“We’ll evaluate both of them in training today. It all depends on how they feel in the training,” Atletico coach Diego Simeone said Friday before the team took to Stadium of Light field. “We’ll talk about it tonight and see what the team needs, then we’ll see.”

Costa favored his right leg at times but trained with the rest of the team and took part in all exercises. The Brazilian-born Spain striker has scored 36 goals in all competitions this season for the Spanish champion.

Turan left the 1-1 draw at Barcelona with a hip problem but also trained normally ahead of Saturday’s match.

“We spoke with Diego and Arda earlier in the week, we’re always asking them about their state,” said midfielder Raul Garcia, who could fill in for Costa. “They are both here, they both want to give it all tomorrow, but we’ll see tomorrow if they’ll be playing or not.”
