MARION, S.C. (AP) - Two men have been sentenced to life in prison in the killing of a 71-year-old man who was bound with duct tape and gagged with a pair of underwear.

Prosecutors said 34-year-old Marco Sanders and 21-year-old Tyrell Woods were both convicted Thursday of murder, armed robbery and other charges.

Authorities say the men were caught on surveillance camera driving up to Samuel Rowell’s home in Marion on July 2012. Witnesses testified the cords to the camera system were damaged, but they were able to pull the video from the system’s hard drive.

Prosecutors say Rowell was shot in the top of his head at close range. His body was still bound and gagged when he was found in his home.
