The school announced Thursday that prospective freshmen submitted 49,731 applications for academic year 2014-15, up 6.3 percent from a year ago. As of earlier this month, the university says it has made 15,985 offers of admission to the applicants.
Fall term 2014 freshman enrollment is projected to be consistent with 2013’s number of about 6,200. Final enrollment figures will be available in October.
