CHICAGO (AP) - Free training for employers interested in science-based workplace health programs is planned for later this month in Chicago.
The training is through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Work@Health program, which includes the opportunity for businesses to gain $5,000 in seed funding to start or augment comprehensive workplace health programs.
The Chicago sessions are planned for May 27 and May 28. Participants won’t be expected to implement a complete comprehensive workplace health program during the program. The focus will be on putting into place a few key workplace health strategies and interventions while building toward a comprehensive approach in later years.
