OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A $7.1 billion bill to fund state government for the upcoming year and a proposed $120 million bond issue to repair the aging state Capitol are among the measures still awaiting action by the Oklahoma Legislature.
The House and Senate will meet on Thursday as they race to adjourn the 2014 session early.
Also pending in the House is a bill that would adjust and make permanent a generous tax subsidy to the oil and gas industry, along with a measure to authorize funds for a new building to house the departments of veterans affairs and mental health.
The Legislature is required by the state Constitution to adjourn by the last Friday in May, but House and Senate leaders have said they hope to adjourn one week early.
