COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - Gov. Andrew Cuomo will be joining President Barack Obama when he visits Cooperstown to talk up the nation’s tourism industry.
The governor’s office says he’s starting Thursday morning at the state Democratic Party convention in Melville on Long Island, where he was nominated Wednesday for re-election.
Cuomo will head upstate later Thursday for Cooperstown, where the president is scheduled to speak at 3:50 p.m. at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
Obama announced last weekend that he would visit the Hall of Fame to help promote U.S. tourism.
