BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has removed its Buffalo commander, citing personal misconduct.

A corps spokeswoman says details of the allegations against Lt. Col. Owen Beaudoin (BOH-dihn) aren’t being released because it’s an ongoing personnel matter.

Brig. Gen. Margaret Burcham says she’s lost confidence in Beaudoin’s ability to command.

Beaudoin had been in his position since 2012 and was due to leave the post in June. The district’s deputy commander, Maj. Michael Busby, will be in charge in Buffalo until Lt. Col. Karl Jansen assumes command in early June.

Beaudoin hasn’t responded to a telephone message left at his home.
