ST. PETER, Ind. (AP) - State police say two suspects in a southeastern Indiana home break-in were arrested following a pursuit that saw police fire at the suspects’ car after they tried to ram a trooper.
Police were alerted shortly after noon Wednesday that two suspects in the home break-in were driving across northern Dearborn County.
Troopers spotted the suspects’ vehicle and it slowed down when they tried to stop it, but police say the suspects tried to strike a trooper who had left his car.
That officer responded by firing several shots at the suspects’ car.
The two suspects then led police on a pursuit into adjacent Franklin County, but eventually abandoned their car and fled on flood.
State police arrested both suspects a short time later. Police did not identify them.
