DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A judge has ordered that a man accused of fatally beating his wife should be held without bond.

Thirty-eight-year-old Christopher Haag faces first-degree murder charges in the death of 45-year-old Rose Haag. Authorities say she was beaten to death early Monday.

According to an arrest report, Haag called his mother and drug dealer before dialing 911 after the beating.

County Judge Steve Henderson said that because Haag violated his DUI probation by drinking the night of the killing, he will be held in jail.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (https://bit.ly/1ko87RU ) reports Haag faces a life sentence.
