KIEL, Wis. (AP) - The U.S. Army continues its investigation into the death of a solider originally from Wisconsin.

The Army says it does not suspect or have any evidence of foul play in the death of Sgt. Heidi Ruh, although it has not been ruled out. Ruh was found fatally shot on base in Kosovo May 9. The Army says it does not suspect any type of hostile gunfire. An Army spokesman said Wednesday he doesn’t know how long the investigation will take.

Ruh joined the military in 2003 as a biomedical equipment specialist. She volunteered to go to Kosovo in February.

Ruh most recently lived in Barrington, Ill. She was from Newton and graduated from Kiel High School.
