FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The air war in Kentucky’s U.S. Senate race is already starting.

Democratic nominee Alison Lundergan Grimes and a Super PAC supporting Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell both released new television ads less than 24 hours after Tuesday’s primaries.

Grimes’ ad shows the Secretary of State speaking directly into the camera vowing to put partisanship aside and work with Democrats and Republicans to get things done. She also promises not to take marching orders from a Democratic president.

But an ad paid for by Kentuckians for Strong Leadership said liberals across the country are rolling out the red carpet for Grimes. The ad quotes First Lady Michelle Obama saying it is critical Grimes defeats McConnell. The ad urges voters to look at Grimes’ friends to determine where she is on the issues.
