READING, Pa. (AP) - An eastern Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and conspiracy in a shooting death on an eastern Pennsylvania bicycle trail 1½ years ago.

The Reading Eagle (https://bit.ly/1mX9kAr ) reports that 30-year-old Jose Rivera-Aguirre of Reading entered the plea Tuesday in Berks County Court.

He and two others were charged in the September 2012 slaying of 41-year-old Luis Salas-Ramos of Reading, whose body was found on the Thun Trail in Cumru Township.

First-degree murder and related charges remain against 21-year-old Victor Borges-Rivera and 37-year-old Miguel Rosario-Ramos.

Authorities allege that the defendants assaulted the victim under he lost consciousness and then drove him to the trial, where he was shot multiple times.

Investigators have not disclosed an alleged motive in the slaying.
