DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit Lions’ coach and top players are returning to Ford Field, but it’s not football that’s drawing them there for an offseason get-together.

It’s food. And wine.

The NFL team is hosting its second annual Taste of the Lions on Tuesday.

The strolling wine and food event allows guests to sample signature dishes from some of the area’s top restaurants.

Guests are to be given the opportunity to mingle with coach Jim Caldwell and some Lions players. Among those expected to attend are quarterback Matthew Stafford, wide receiver Calvin Johnson, running back Reggie Bush and members of this year’s draft class.

Proceeds from the event will go toward improving access to fresh food options in underserved areas.
