BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Southwest Idaho authorities say they used an inmate labor bus to transport impaired teenagers back to Boise from a party in the nearby foothills.
The Ada County Sheriff’s Office says more than 100 teens took part in the party late on Saturday and early Sunday, and about 80 of them exhibited signs of impairment.
Authorities say they found evidence of widespread alcohol and drug use.
Police say the party took place on U.S. Forest Service land about 12 miles from Boise and near Bogus Basin Road.
That’s a twisting road with steep drop-offs leading to a ski area.
Police say teens on the bus called their parents and were picked up at an elementary school.
Authorities say trash left at the site included bottles, cans and vomit.
