The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced Tuesday that it crushed its Republican counterpart, raising about $3 million more than the National Republican Congressional Committee in April.

The DCCC reports raising $7.1 million with $43.5 million cash on hand, while the NRCC had receipts of $4.1 million with $32 million in the bank.

So far in the election cycle, the DCCC has raised $106.5 million to the NRCC’s $85.7 million. Both committees reported being debt-free.

“House Democrats continue to break every fundraising record on the books because our supporters are engaged and hungry to elect representatives who have their backs,” DCCC Chairman Steve Israel said. “Grassroots supporters across the country are joining our efforts to put a stop to this Republican Congress that is relentlessly stacking the deck for special interests and the ultra-wealthy at the expense of middle class families.”

The DCCC’s announcement followed the Democratic National Committee’s statement earlier Tuesday that it had paid off all its debt and raised $9 million in April.
