ERIE, Pa. (AP) - The Erie BayHawks have signed a three-year agreement to affiliate with the NBA’s Orlando Magic.

Erie plays in the NBA’s Development League and were previously affiliated with the New York Knicks, who assigned 15 NBA players to Erie - including Jeremy Lin and Danny Green - during that three-year partnership.

The Erie Times-News (https://bit.ly/1lJOTUS ) reports the BayHawks started looking for another NBA affiliation after the Knicks moved their D-League operations to Westchester County, New York.

The BayHawks were established in 2008.

The Magic have spent the last two seasons affiliated with two D-League teams in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Orlando General Manager Rob Hennigan says the Magic will have more input on roster and coaching decisions with a single affiliation in Erie. The next step is hiring a head coach.
