LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in Pulaski County are investigating the death of an inmate being held at the county jail.

According to a preliminary report, 25-year-old Jack Westbrook was found unresponsive in a jail cell Sunday in Little Rock. The report says a sergeant at the jail performed CPR on Westbrook, but the inmate later died at a hospital.

Pulaski County Sheriff’s Lt. Carl Minden says a preliminary investigation shows that Westbrook may have ingested something that led to his medical condition. Preliminary autopsy reports are pending.

Westbrook was being held in the county jail on multiple charges, including burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and criminal mischief.
