SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. (AP) - Police say a South Daytona man who told 911 dispatchers that his wife was unresponsive has been charged with beating her to death.
Police Chief Ron Wright says 45-year-old Rose Marie Haag was dead when detectives arrived at the Bristol Bay Condominiums early Monday. Her 38-year-old husband Christopher Ryan Haag faces second-degree murder charges.
Wright told the Daytona Beach News Journal (https://bit.ly/1ne5hhr ) that Haag died of blunt trauma, but they don’t yet know what was used to beat her. He says officers have been called to the home before for domestic violence calls.
