FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) - The New York Jets have signed linebacker A.J. Edds and offensive lineman Markus Zusevics, both of whom participated in rookie minicamp as tryout players.

To make room on their 90-man roster Monday, the Jets also released wide receiver Dwight Jones and offensive lineman Jacolby Ashworth.

Edds was a fourth-round draft pick of Miami out of Iowa in 2010. He has also spent time with New England and Indianapolis, and has been on injured reserve twice with torn anterior cruciate ligaments. Edds has 13 career tackles in 11 NFL games.

Zusevics, also out of Iowa, tore a pectoral muscle during the NFL combine in 2012 and signed with New England that spring as an undrafted free agent. He sat out last season after being placed on IR last summer.
