SANDY HOOK, N.J. (AP) - The Coast Guard evacuated an ill passenger from a cruise ship off the coast of New Jersey.
The Celebrity Summit notified the Coast Guard late Sunday that the passenger was in need of medical attention.
A 47-foot rescue boat met the vessel about 15 miles southeast of Sandy Hook on Monday and the woman was taken ashore. An ambulance took her to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.
Her condition is not known.
