SANDY, Utah (AP) - Sandy police have arrested a second suspect in a home invasion by two armed men dressed as police officers who said they were searching for drugs.

Police Sgt. Jon Arnold says 21-year-old Andrew Perry Russell was arrested Saturday night at a residence in Midvale.

He was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, theft and impersonating an officer. His alleged accomplice, Kenneth Foote, was arrested a few days earlier.

Arnold says the two masked-men knocked on an apartment door in Sandy shortly after midnight Tuesday and identified themselves as police officers.

The victim says they were wearing shirts that said “police” when they burst in with assault rifles, beat him and demanded he turn over drugs. They fled when they couldn’t find any.
